People looking to head out for a short break
over the next few days could consider Northern Ireland, according
to a tourism group on the Emerald Isle.

A spokesperson for Tourism Ireland commented
that people are now turning to Northern Ireland as somewhere to
celebrate St Patrick's Day, citing colourful carnival the Shamrock
and the Storm as one place where revellers can head.
"There are many other sites in the area
related to St Patrick – Down Cathedral (the supposed site of St
Patrick's grave), Struell Wells (where he was said to have bathed
and sang psalms) and more", said the representative.
People around the world today celebrate St Patrick's Day, with
Dublin holding a five-day parade every year.
