New camping, caravan and holiday parks guide
12 May 2008
Caravan enthusiasts may be interested in a new guide released by
the British Tourist Board detailing the top camping, caravan and
holiday parks for 2008.
The Somerset County Gazette reported that new guide is "packed
with information" about events, attractions and ideas for days out
or short breaks.
It divides the UK into ten sections and provides a number of
useful details for caravan holidaymakers, including
family-friendliness, accessibility for people with mobile, visual
or hearing impairments, proximity to sites and photos.
More than 1,000 places to stay are listed in the book, including
the winners of the David Bellamy Conservation Award and distance
charts.
For those looking to venture a little further afield in the
summer months, the Huddersfield Daily Examiner recently recommended
booking a caravan holiday in Tuscany, with its close proximity to
Pisa and Florence and temperatures "well above the UK average".
The newspaper claimed that caravan travellers may also enjoy the
region's fine food and wine at a number of Tuscan restaurants.
