Northumbrian Leisure wins holiday park contract
18 January 2008
Family run firm Northumbrian Leisure has emerged as the winner
of the 125-year lease for Sandhaven Caravan Park in South
Tyneside.
The Hexham based firm which owns sites across the north-east of
England, has a reputation for upgrading sites into five-star award
winners.
It has pledged to spend £475,000 over two years and its license
will restrict the use of the site to retain it as a holiday park
throughout the time of the lease, the Shields Gazette reports.
The Sandhaven Caravan Park currently caters for 51 static
caravans and 49 touring caravans, but opportunities to expand to
produce a sales area have been allowed.
Pitch-fee relief given to charities will also be retained.
