Swift win the Safety and Security award

The Swift Conqueror 630 has won the 2009 Caravan Industry Award
for advances in caravan safety and security. The award is sponsored
by Towergate Bakers, one of the leading caravan insurers who have
been delighted to sponsor this award once again.
The judges had a very difficult job on their hands having to
consider seven nominations from the leading manufacturers, namely
Swift, Bailey, Compass, Elddis, Fleetwood, Lunar and Coachman.
When making their decisions the judges were very complimentary
to all entries, the caravan industry has been especially pro-active
in recent years in building in good quality and innovative features
which improve security and safety. However the unanimous winner was
the Swift Conqueror 630 for the fitting as standard of the new HAL
Locate GPS tracking system. It is the only such system to be
Thatcham approved for leisure vehicles and is operative right
across Europe.
The Compass range were runners up for the optional fitting of
the BPW Intelligent Drive Control system which helps prevent
instability whilst towing and in third place came Bailey for their
Pageant Series 7 which features as standard an innovative new
safety feature.
