Tips and advice - Static caravan insurance
Towergate Bakers have been providing insurance cover for static
holiday caravans for over a quarter of a century and so we are well
placed to advise on the simple things you can do to reduce the risk
of a claim in the first place.
Some helpful tips
- Modern static caravans are far better insulated than older
units but may still be susceptible to frost. During colder spells,
drain the water systems, this will not remove the risk of frost
damage but will reduce the risk of subsequent water damage.
- Never leave expensive items on view and always lock your door
and windows when you are not in your caravan or have retired for
the night.
- Thieves can target caravan sites when they are closed for the
winter and there may not be any site supervision.
- Make sure you remove TVs, DVD players, computers, etc.
- Why not invest in a lockable store for outdoor furniture,
gardening equipment, etc. when not in use?
